Engineering Bulletin: Potential Issues with SFDC Enhanced Domain Feature

    Overview

    Salesforce is implementing Enhanced Domain in their Winter ‘22 release with the option to delay Enhanced Domain until the Spring ‘23 release. When Enhanced Domain is enabled in Salesforce, it changes the URL for records like the task, which can cause an issue for Tenfold to create tasks and other records.

    Who is impacted

    All Tenfold customers using Salesforce as their CRM will be impacted when this feature is enabled.

    What is the impact

    After the Enhanced Domain feature is enabled, it will break Tenfold's ability to create and modify records in the CRM.

    Technical description

    After the Enhanced Domain feature is enabled, the URL for records will change.

    How can Tenfold help?

    At this time, Tenfold engineering does not have an automated way of correcting the issue. Manual remediation is recommended.

    Remediation steps

    Important

    Only perform these steps after the Enhanced Domain feature is enabled from either the Winter ‘22 or the Spring ‘23 release.

    1. Once Enhanced Domain is enabled in Salesforce, re-connect Tenfold to Salesforce in the Tenfold Dashboard under Company Settings/CRM.
    2. Log into the Tenfold app and make a new phone call. Then verify that a task (or another record if applicable) is created as expected.
