    Connect Microsoft Dynamics to Tenfold Guide


    To connect Microsoft Dynamics to Tenfold, you must use OAuth with Client ID & Secret.

    You will need the following information from your Dynamics environment:

    • Client Id (Application ID)
    • Client Secret
    • Tenant Id (Directory ID)


    OAuth Integration with Client ID & Secret

    • Log in to your Microsoft Dynamics instance using the API/service account user you set up for Tenfold.
    • Log in to the Tenfold Dashboard with a Tenfold administrator account.
    • Navigate to Company Settings > CRM.
    • Select Microsoft Dynamics in the dropdown menu.

    • Click Authentication type and select OAuth from the list.
    • In the following information:
      • Hostname - Your Organization's Dynamics hostname (the URL that you use to connect to Microsoft Dynamics. Example: https://yourcompany.dynamics.com)
      • Oauth Client Id
      • Oauth Client Secret
      • Oauth Tenant Id

    • Advanced Options


    The following advanced options can be configured for any Dynamics authentication type:

    • Minimum search string length: The minimum number of characters that a user can type to initiate a search for a CRM object.
    • Digits to Match: The number of digits of the phone number that Tenfold will use to match Dynamics records. Decrease this number if records are not being returned in the Tenfold UI.
    • Exact match on telephone number: Requires a phone number in the Tenfold UI to exactly match a phone number in the CRM to be considered a match.
    • Search the Contact entity: Allows Tenfold users to search Contacts through the Tenfold UI.
    • Search the Account entity: Allows Tenfold users to search Account through the Tenfold UI.
    • Search the Lead entity: Allows Tenfold users to search Lead through the Tenfold UI.
    • Manually Close Phone Call Records in Dynamics: If enabled, Phone Call records will remain in open state until manually closed.
    • Security Protocol: The security protocol may need to be changed to a different protocol if Tenfold is not able to connect to your Microsoft Dynamics instance.
