Supported versions of 3CX

    Overview: 3CX is a popular phone system, in large part thanks to its stability, low-cost, and ease of use. Many Tenfold customers have leveraged and are currently leveraging the Tenfold + 3CX integration for these exact reasons. However, in 2020, 3CX announced that they would no longer look to support 3rd party integrations. This article serves to summarize Tenfold's supportability where 3CX is concerned.

    NOTE: 3CX/Yealink only supports 64-bit Windows systems.


    Tenfold support goals

    Tenfold makes every effort to maintain the life of our integrations by providing ongoing support from our Technical Support and Engineering teams. However, in some cases beyond the control of Tenfold, products change, or end-of-life becomes unavoidable. This is often driven by changes within the 3rd Party Systems who independently make adjustments to their platforms and integration points. This being the case, Tenfold has no immediate plans to support 3CX 16.0.6 and above.


    Customer impact

    Tenfold understands the impacts a change like this has on our customers and makes every effort possible to help provide support for integrations that are known to work by recommending legacy versions of your telephony system or prior versions of our own connector.

    Should your team wish to continue to leverage Tenfold services, our recommendation will be for your team to leverage 3CX 16.0.5 and below*. Alternatively, your team can evaluate alternative telephony providers that integrate with Tenfold Services.     Fully Supported: *Versions 16.0.0.x, 16.0.1.x, 16.0.2.x, 16.0.3.x, 16.0.4.x, 16.0.5.x

    • Version 16 was a major change to 3CX from version 15, which had an infrastructure change with which Tenfold could no longer integrate. After working with 3CX engineers, Tenfold was successfully able to make changes to our product to Support 3CX in our Cloud Connect Server Integration Guide <LINK> 64-bit editions.

    NOTE: If you are using a Yeahlink phone system, this likely also impacts you.
