Inbound Number (Campaign) Tracking

Inbound Number (Campaign) Tracking

Use call data in marketing decisions

Make better marketing decisions by measuring which phone numbers and lead sources provide the highest ROI. This feature allows you to log the number your callers dialed when you create a new CRM record so you can have better tracking on the lead source or phone number placement that got them to you in the first place.

Numbers are logged to a custom field on an object in. your CRM. Options include:

    • Call Activity (Task) record
    • Lead record
    • Contact record
    • Account record
    • Custom Objects (premium plans)

    Configure

After enabling the Inbound Number Tracking feature, configure the feature:

    1. To log inbound numbers to a call, select the Enabled box under Log to Call. Next, click the list under Call field and choose the field in the call to log the inbound number to.
    2. To log inbound numbers to an entity, select the Enabled box under Log to Entity. Next, click the list under Choose a module and select the entity to log the inbound number to.

    End user view

The following is a sample call record in Salesforce shows how we can store an inbound number to a custom field. From here, you can build out reports that take advantage of this tracking ID.
