Configure Tenfold to use Google as an identity provider

    Overview: This article provides a walkthrough for configuration Okta as an identity provider for Tenfold with Google as Identity.


    Configuring Google SAML SSO for Tenfold

    To set up Single Sign-On (SSO) with Google as the Identity Provider for Tenfold, follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Google Admin Console:
      • Log in to your Google Admin console and navigate to SAML Apps.
    2. Select SAML Apps:
      • Choose the option to manage SAML Apps from the available options.
    3. Set Up Custom SAML App:
      • Click Setup my own custom app.
    4. Download IDP Metadata:
      • In the Option 2: Download IDP Metadata section, click Download to save the metadata file to your desktop. You’ll need this file to configure SSO in Tenfold.
    5. Configure Application Details:
      • Set the Application Name to "Tenfold" and click Next.
    6. Enter SAML Configuration Details:
      • In the next step, input the following information:
        • ACS URL: https://dashboard.tenfold.com/corporate-login/callback
        • Entity ID: sso.tenfold.com
      • Click Next, then Finish to complete the creation of the SAML app in Google.
    7. Enable SAML App for Users:
      • After the app is created, locate the newly created SAML App named "Tenfold" in the SAML Apps list.
      • Click Edit Service and toggle the service On for everyone to enable the SSO app for all users.
      • Click Save to apply the changes. Note: This step ensures that all users in your Google Workspace will be able to use SSO for Tenfold.
    8. Configure SSO in Tenfold:
      • Log in to the Tenfold dashboard and navigate to the Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration page.
      • Set the domain that users will enter when logging in to Tenfold (for example: acme, acme.org, acme-org).
      • Upload the IDP metadata XML file you downloaded in step #4.
      • Click Save at the bottom of the page to finalize the SSO setup.
    9. Test Google SSO for Tenfold:
      • Your organization is now ready to use Google as the Identity Provider (IdP) for authenticating to Tenfold.
      • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be handled by Google as part of your organization's security settings.
      • Once users log in using their Google Workspace credentials, they will be redirected to the Tenfold dashboard.
