Are you a brand in EMEA using Generative AI in your solution? If yes, this release note is for you.

As first announced in our February 4, 2025 release note, this is a reminder to all of our brands in the EMEA region that on March 30, 2025, LivePerson will automatically upgrade KnowledgeAI™ and the CoPilot Suite from GPT-3.5 Turbo to GPT-4o mini. This is due to the upcoming retirement of GPT-3.5 Turbo from Azure OpenAI Service.

Third-Party Bots

Features

OAuth 2.0 support for Custom Endpoint and Amazon Lex connector

With this release, the Third-Party Bot connectors for custom endpoints and Amazon Lex support the OAuth 2.0 authentication flow against external IDPs. The generated token will be attached to requests to the respective vendors and can there be used for authentication.

For configuration instructions, please refer to the updated developers documentation.

Enhancements

Latency improvements to bot responses

Messaging bots are configured to await the UMS acknowledgment signal before continuing to process further messages. A bug in this procedure resulted in unnecessary latency. With this fix, the processing of a message should only be delayed for less than 100ms waiting on the ACK, instead of up to one second.
